Reference Cells

RE-104 Reference Cell Assembly

RE-104 Reference Cell AssemblyThe RE-104 Reference Assembly is a rugged and durable surface mount reference cell 2 ¾"L x 1 ¾"W with ½" thru-hull penetration. The typical lifespan is 4-5 years, depending on the conditions it is exposed to. The RE-104 can be used with vessels of any hull material and should be installed using a one part polysulfide rubber sealant such as BoatLife Life Calk.

The RE-104 is the standard reference assembly used with the following Electro-Guard Models:

RE-206D Reference Cell Assembly

RE-206D Reference Cell AssemblyThe RE-206D Reference Assembly is a rugged and durable surface mount reference cell 8"L x 2 3/4"W x 1"D (outside hull) with two ½" thru-hull penetration mounting studs. The typical lifespan is 3-5 years, depending on the conditions it is exposed to. The RE-206D can be used with vessels of fiberglass or wood construction in conjunction with one of our controlled sacrificial anode cathodic protection systems. It should be installed using a one part polysulfide rubber sealant such as BoatLife Life Calk.

The RE-206D is the standard reference assembly used with the following Electro-Guard Models:

  • Model 208 and 210 Automatic Control with Monitoring Systems

The replacement zinc reference electrodes are the RE-200 and the MR-1

RE-109 Flush Mount Reference Cell Assembly

RE-109 Flush Mount Reference Cell AssemblyThe RE-109 is a flush mount reference assembly designed to be mounted into a recess fabricated into the hull. It is mounted in a standard 1 ½” flush-head thru- hull fitting with external diameter of 2.8”. This rugged and reliable reference cell has a typical lifespan of 4-5 years, depending on the conditions it is exposed to. The RE-109 can be used with vessels of any hull material.

The RE-109 is the standard reference assembly used with the Electro-Guard Model 630FM ICCP systems, and can be used with most other Electro-Guard Monitoring and ICCP systems.

The replacement zinc reference electrode is the RE-400

**Caution: We highly recommend that you consult with your vessel manufacturer, designer, or a qualified naval architect to determine the proper procedure for building a pocket in the hull to accommodate the RE-109 Flush Mount Reference Assembly.
